Not including the higher level mountain ranges
of Southern Arizona, snow is rare. When we do get the chance to experience
snow, we only have a few hours before the sun melts everything in sight.
The images below were taken in mid-January and only lasted three hours
before everything melted.
Winter Ocotillo:
Each thorn on this ocotillo had small amounts
of snow. This view is facing Golden Gate Mountain.
Scenic Snowy View: A great snowy view of Tucson Mountain
Park. This spot which we call The Sunset
Spot is where I proposed to my wife.
Golden Gate Mountain:
A closer image of 4,000 + foot Golden Gate Mountain.
Frozen Ocotillo: By the
time we finished our hike, all of this snow had melted.
Scenic Snowy View II: A black and white version
of the second image on this page.
