Capturing Our Natural Beauty

Southern Arizona Snow

Not including the higher level mountain ranges of Southern Arizona, snow is rare. When we do get the chance to experience snow, we only have a few hours before the sun melts everything in sight. The images below were taken in mid-January and only lasted three hours before everything melted.

Winter Ocotillo: Each thorn on this ocotillo had small amounts
of snow. This view is facing Golden Gate Mountain.

Scenic Snowy View:
A great snowy view of Tucson Mountain Park. This spot which we call The Sunset Spot is where I proposed to my wife.

Golden Gate Mountain: A closer image of 4,000 + foot Golden Gate Mountain.

Frozen Ocotillo: By the time we finished our hike, all of this snow had melted.
